ISTANTANEE/ SNAPSHOTS

Istantanee nascono da una prima fusione in termoformato che porta il vetro ad assumere la forma di una casa, di una stanza, di uno spazio da abitare. A questa struttura iniziale si sovrappone un secondo gesto, realizzato direttamente alla mola, senza disegno preparatorio.

Ciò che viene inciso non è progettato in anticipo, ma emerge nel momento stesso dell'esecuzione. Per questo si chiamano Istantanee: perché registrano percezioni immediate, intuizioni, movimenti interiori e piccoli accadimenti che appartengono alla vita degli spazi. Sono tracce di ciò che accade dentro una casa e che spesso sfugge allo sguardo: tensioni, quieti, presenze, memorie, passaggi. Ogni incisione nasce nell'istante e conserva il carattere imprevedibile e irripetibile di ciò che viene sentito nel momento in cui emerge.

Snapshots

Snapshots begin with an initial thermoforming process that gives the glass the shape of a house, a room, a space to inhabit. This first structure is then followed by a second gesture, engraved directly with the grinding wheel, without any preparatory drawing.

What is engraved is not planned in advance but emerges during the very act of making. This is why they are called Snapshots: they record immediate perceptions, intuitions, inner movements and small events belonging to the life of a space. They are traces of what happens inside a home and often escapes our attention: tensions, moments of stillness, presences, memories and passages. Each engraving is born in the instant and retains the unpredictable and unrepeatable character of something felt at the moment it emerges.
